  Dental implants are placed using local aneasthetic, sometimes with sedation.
  
  Placement of implants is a surgical procedure and afterwards it is usual to experience some discomfort, swelling and bruising. It may be difficult to eat normally and to clean your teeth; the effects usually last from three to five days. I will offer advice and when necessary provide you with appropriate medication. Most people are surprised how simple it can be.
