There is a risk of implant failure of approximately 1%to 5%. There is a low risk of failure after the first year of function as long as your health, both general and around the implant is maintained.
An implant can be replaced should it fail either at the same time or at a later stage, occasionally additional procedures may be required.
Excessive forces may result in some of the component parts fracturing.
Implants and teeth are subject to wear and tear over time and depending on the amount of wear the need to replace the crown may arise.
